WINTER HATE

As winter storms knock on your door
And your feet touch this cold cold floor,
As hail and snowflakes turn into sleet
And all this white mess covers the street,
You put on your boots and put on your hat,
To shovel your driveway, imagine that!!
You sweat and freeze all at the same time.
Frustration takes over so you are starting to whine.
You hear on the news roads closed once again,
Your nose starts to run and you're coughing up phlegm.
The kids are home from school and they're driving you crazy.
Your energy dies and you feel kind of lazy.
Just think to yourself it will all melt away, surely spring
Will get here, eventually, one day.
When sunshine finally warms your sore heart,
Think "spring," what a reviving new start!
