WIND IV

In the daytime hours
The wind swirls the leaves,
Blows the snow,
Slants the rain,
Ripples a pond,
Makes music with chimes,
Turns cheeks rosy,
Waters the earth.
But at night the same wind
Makes the walls creak,
Causes scary moving shadows,
Makes weird strange noises,
And gives little children nightmares.
