WHATEVER HAPPENED TO...?

Whatever happened to the good old days?
...When children would arise early, so as
Not to sleep their whole summer away?
...When they had an imagination,
And could always find something to do;
Besides sitting around always expecting
To be entertained by you?
This is a pathetic generation
Which has been raised.
And it's not the type of thing
Which deserves any praise!
...When they had self-respect, as
Well as respect for their elders and you?
...When a child would do what he was told to do?
They're selfish. They're lazy, and think
That money grows on trees!
They know not even how to say
"Thank you" or "Please."
A pathetic generation, for which she
Will take no fault.
This is something to which parents
Must put an immediate halt!
