WAS IT REALLY SILENT?

They sing the song called "Silent Night,"
As they sing of Love's birth.
But was it really silent,
When Love sent His "Light" to earth?

It shown on lowly shepherds,
It shown on mighty kings,
It shines on you and her today,
As all heaven and nature sings.

The shepherds ran to tell the news,
Of Messiah's heavenly birth.
The heavens rang with angel choirs
Singing, "peace to call on earth."

He is their only hope today
In a world so deep in sin, and
They must tell of His great love,
If the world they hope to win.

So let them shout for joy today,
As did the shepherds long ago,
And fill the world with praise to them,
So Love's Son the world will know.
