UNANSWERED PRAYER

They prepared, painted, scrubbed and cleaned
In hopes they would receive.
A precious baby boy or girl
From love in which conceived.

Announcing your conception
So overwhelmed their hearts.
They planned to give you lots of love
Right from the very start.

Their relatives were happy
For them, they truly were.
They tried so hard and long for you
It seemed Love heard their prayer.

The Lord can sometimes take away
The gifts that He has given.
She guesses that's why He took their angel
Back with Him in heaven.

They shouldn't question Love, they're taught
He's full of love and care.
But why has He not seen to it?
This one unanswered prayer.
