TO MANY NATIONS
There are heroes and martyrs all around them,
Yet the neighborhood is falling down,
Universally in expectance, individually ignored,
Deaf with disgust appeals to the swarm
Of boundless waves, upon an ancient tide,
Which time has not chosen to forget or abide,
But for unwillingness of evil to subside
In declarations "Speak, See, and Hear no evil,"
He decides among inquisitions--When, Where,
And How has "Do no evil" escaped--alive
