TO CAROL

You are her friend as she is yours.
Been so for a decade and more.
With boys they shared the laughter,
Along with the bitter tears.
Even conquered some of their fears.
Had troubles that would astound.
So they called themselves Weebles,
Saying "Don't worry 'bout me,
Weebles wobble but don't fall down."
Friends they've been thru think n thin.
Using laughter as their medicine,
Nourishing troubled hearts and minds.
Phone calls a.m., p.m., no matter the time.
You're on her mind, Are you alright?
Feeling better knowing the other is around.
Reminding themselves--
Weebles wobble, but don't fall down.
