THIS PAIN HAS TAKEN IT'S TOLL

Endless tears, and their shattered dreams.
He feels that she has nothing, or so it seems.
All of her hopes, gone with the wind,
This pain inside, time cannot mend.

Sleepless nights, and lonely days,
So cold has turned the Sun's warning rays.
All of the reasons running in her mind.
She tries to put together, but some pieces she can't find.

Winless battles, nowhere to run.
She can't say "I Love You" to her chosen one.
All her faith, ripped from her soul.
Lord knows this pain has taken its toll.
