THEY AS THE PEOPLE

The violence is rising
And death increases,
Family and friends
Are left to pick up the pieces.

The stabbing, the shooting, and killing,
Will it ever end?
It's creating such unhappiness
As every funeral they attend.

Their government, alone,
Can not make it disappear.
They as the people
Need to start to care.

They as the people
Need to understand
That everyone should
Work hand in hand.

Their country has some problems
But all can be mended.
Believe her when she tells you
"The madness should be ended."
