THE TWO SIDES OF RAIN

Side A

Children go out to enjoy the sprinkled delight
And jump from puddle to puddle
Couples dance in the open showers
Yet soak and wet still love to cuddle
Mother Nature's little creatures
Hunt shelter from their dark dreary day
While birds are out splashing about
And teaching their young over to play
Elderly seem to spring forth life
As the rain is their fountain of youth tonight

Side B

Rolling thunder and crashing lightning
A force that no one can control
The blistering wind makes them shiver within
And strikes fear in each of their souls
A funeral mass on the wet soiled ground
Brings tears of rain and emotional pain
A sense of death in every breath
You slowly feel yourself being drained
You wish on this day that you never woke up
To experience this sorrowful rain.
