THE TREE III

He is a tree, a lonely tree
Out here in the wilderness
While above in the sky, where everything's free
Is the sun shining down in gold dress
She loves the sun from the roots to her crown
From the sun she'll never go astray
Once, she wishes, the sun would come down
But there's one thing standing in the way
The moon loves her, but despises the sun
It takes her sun away at night
She lives in darkness until dawn
But again at night the moon chases away the light
The sun has given her life
And hopefully the sun will see her
With its great shining light
Taken aside from all the other trees there be
She hopes...one day they'll both together be free
Being free with her true love
Just them, the sun and her.
