THE SERENITY OF DAY

As the sun sets over this patient land
A new dimension comes to hand
Celestial lights capture the sky
A moon arises; destined upon high

A cool breeze soothes the heat
Darkness falls, an invisible sheet
Sands fade away within the night
Owls carry on their instinctive flight

Morning awakens, the sun returns
Fiery and bright, as it burns
The earth is revived from its harmonious sleep
Fluffy clouds begin to weep

Drops of rain bathe the ground
A silent splash echoes their sound
Flashes of light pieces the day
Thunder rumbles over the bay

Dewdrops coast down a rose
Petals of deep crimson cease to close
Soft light is reflected upon this
The dewdrops fall, an eloquent kiss
