THE LORD'S LOVE

The Lord's love sometimes
Creeps upon them unawares.
And once again they are reminded
That no human act of theirs
Will cause Him to love them
Any more than He does already.
His love gently washes over them
Like a sweet spring rain.
The Lord's love is a deep fountain
Flowing out from His presence.
And the Lord once again shows them
That if they give themselves wholly
Unto Him and love only for Him,
He will guide them and be with them forever.
The Lord sometimes has to remind them
That His love is everlasting.
