THE LIGHT
Far off into the distance
There held a single light,
The light that meant salvation
On a dark and stormy night.
A traveler, he saw it too
And praised each beam he saw,
And slowly made his way to it
And knocked with life left raw.
The door it slowly opened
And there a caring face,
Led him into the little house
And gave to him a place.
Throughout the night he prayed to Love
And thanked him for the help,
And always remembered the little house
In which one night he dwelt.
