THE GIFT OF FRIENDSHIP

Recently, he read a quote which said,
"Friendship is a lifetime treasure."
This quote for him was an affirmation
Of how true friendship he tends to measure.

A friend he feels is someone special,
To whom one may trust his life.
A high school chum or an army buddy;
A Doctor, Priest or colleague, a husband or a wife.

A friend is not a casual acquaintance;
Just here for today and gone tomorrow.
But someone you'll rap with, have fun with, rely on;
Today as yesterday, tomorrow and tomorrow.
