You gave her respect;
She gave you news;
You gave her interest;
She gave you night driving,
You gave her companionship;
She gave you commitment;
You gave her love;
She gave you her anxiety;
You gave her your peace;
She gave you her spiritual doubts;
You shared with her your faith;
She gave you her presence;
You gave her a home;
She gave you her never-ending love;
And you gave her the same.
In giving so much to you,
She had no less to give.
Their gifts to each other
Were simply Love's deposits that they passed on.
