THE DANDELION, PLAYED
The dandelion played
Love Bless Us Everyone
On a trumpet he had made
Of a wrapped up piece of gum
He watched as he danced
So lightly in the breeze
His trumpet like a lance
Cutting notes so easily
For those moments he looked so proud
The envy of all his peers
But his playing got too loud
For the wind they did not hear
His trumpet flew like silvered dust
And landed by a boy
Who picked it up and guessed it just
Another convenient joy
