THE CAPTIVATION
She was doing just fine until she saw you
She stared, doubly lost for word of breath
To her eyes, more handsome than she remembered.
And you turned to smile at her one time
But turned your glance, her way many more
Thrilled to her very core, she could only blush.
She sat wondering if anyone chanced to notice
Her not so discreet looks cast your direction
What be the name of the twisted game they play?
And still she sits, admiring your hands and
Wondering about your finesse with them
And wondering about and wishing for things she shouldn't.
Once now and again their eyes meet
She turns away, admittedly too quickly
But feel your effect tingle all the way to her feet.
She wants, no she must know, how you really feel,
If you truly care, or are just needy
Is it love or something far more fleeting?
