THE ARTIST
As she stands and gazes at the vast night sky
With stars like diamonds sparkling everywhere
She is humbled by the artist's touch
The one who put them there
For the one who had the master plan
For the earth, sea, land, and air
Must now sit in Heaven and look down
Upon the beauty everywhere
Surely the touch of that artist's hand
Put the diamonds in the sky
The green on the earth, the blue in the sea
And dust on the wings of a butterfly
He knows each grain of sand by the sea
And when a sparrow falls
Each day she knows he watches her
And she listens for his call
For when it comes, like a trumpet sound
Willing and ready she'll stand
And wait for the glorious moment she'll know
The touch of that artist's hand
