THE ARIZONA DESERT

The desert Palo Verde tree,
A mass of yellow, bright in the sun,
Lights up the desert, from break of day,
'Til day is done.
The Ironwood tree, so stately looms,
To show its lovely orchid blooms.
The Cresote so proudly show,
Their vibrant color all aglow.
The Brittle bush, with yellow bright,
Accent the landscape, what a sight!
Orange Mellow, Lupin blue,
The mix of colors showing through.
The Hedgehog with a flower so red,
Mixed in among the cacti bed.
California poppies are a delight,
They bloom all day, and close at night.
What beauty in the spring they see,
This desert part of their Country.
