THAT'S THE WAY LOVE WANTED HER TO BE
As she got on her bike,
She started to wonder what it would be like
If she could be something else.
Maybe she could be a turkey named Mike.
No homework, she thought,
Would be a blessing:
Although if she got caught,
She would be served with dressing.
Scratch that idea, she said to herself.
Maybe she could be something else.
Perhaps she could be Santa's elf.
She could help him make the toys
For the little children, girls and boys.
But making trillions of presents each year would be really hard.
She doesn't think she could stand the pressure,
And having funny shoes and pointed
Ears won't make it any lesser.
As she began on her way, she started to think, "What the hey?"
She's glad she's nothing but who she is
Because that's the way Love wanted her to be.
