Summer breezes blow
Like days without you go,
Warm and windy
But somehow empty

Great ships carry her hopes away--
Dreams on hold and joy delayed
Guileless emotions tipped and tossed
By boundless oceans not yet crossed

Can you hear them in the night;
The telepathic words she writes?
The one she loves is far away
He'll be home but not to stay

Sunny thoughts of when
The days are full again
Sincere devotion never tempted
Endless love on waves unlimited

Wild weeds grow
While weeks close
Waiting upon unity
Anticipating harmony
