SILENT ANGEL

An Angel tiptoes through life
On silent slippered feet
She leaves a trail of fading prints
On the pathways of her mind.

There is no heavenly bugle call
To warn her of her presence.
She only whispers in the wind
Soft words of inspiration.

Love notes she leaves on mirrors
A card that says 'I care'
And a feeling that she's valued
Prove an angel tarried her.

She splashes drops of rainbows
Like a carefree, happy child
And crumbs of dream-filled cookies
Are scattered everywhere.

She sweeps the crumbs and rainbow drops
And hoards them in her heart
For a angel walking through her life
Is always welcome there.
