SEQUINS ON THE FLOOR

Their home always sparkles
Not because it's squeaky clean
But because of his wife
Fulfilling her childhood dreams.

When a young girl
Wanted to tap dance and perform
A lifelong ambition, he's sure,
Since the day she was born.

But lifelong circumstances
Postponed those childhood dreams
Still, within her subconscious
Merely at rest--so it would seem.

Now a senior citizen
With time on her hands
She delved within her subconscious
And her dancing career began.

Now performing everywhere
Doing tap dancing she adores
And fulfilling those childhood dreams
But not without--sequins on the floor.
