In the spring of her life, the flowers slowly sprung from
A deep sleep.
The trees awakened to the brisk morning air--
And she faced promise.

Then the summer came, the flowers were radiant, the trees
Cooled them from the sultry heat of summer--
And she faced darkness and terror.

When autumn cooled the summer heat the flowers slowly
Retreated into a calm.
The trees showed their glory in magnificent color.
And she, like the flowers retreated into her mind to calm
The pain of her summers.
But winter came, the flowers rested for a new spring awakening.
The trees gently caught the falling snow--
And she froze all the memories of her summer with the winter

The beauty and calm of her winter years is truly appreciated
Because of all the seasons of her life.
