RETURNING SOUL

Trapped in darkness, trying to find his way,
Is the soul of a friend trying to return and stay.
She feels him crossing the barrier,
Between the unknown and reality.
His soul is free in the night,
She feels his hand reach for hers,
But she can't go with him, it's not time.
He must wait silently in the mist.
And watch over her and send peace.
To be in a land so far away and alone,
He tries to visit and not stay away.
He wants to be a force in her life,
He wants her to feel him in the night.
In reality he's not here,
But in her dreams, he's still real.
He left her without warning, in the darkness of the night.
He cried out to her in his mind, he wants her by his side.
She will go through the golden door, one day,
And together they will stay.
