Remember when they used to run
Like those high school boys on the field down there?
Remember when they used to shout?
They'd yell their lungs right out!
So full of vim and vigor.
They'd always take a dare.
And knew they could do anything
And go most anywhere.
But as the years have come and gone,
Their umph has gone kerpoof!
They'd rather just sit and watch the lads.
Now really--that's no spoof.
