Why is it, the harder she tries, the farther she floats?
When she feels closer to the end, she's really just beginning.
Are there any accomplishments that she can note?
Or is she just a bat in every inning?

The farther she travels, the longer the path.
The more she climbs, the steeper the hill.

Does the sun ever shine for more than just a moment
As the rain seems to pour for an eternity?
When the sun decides to shine, the clouds become a component.
Soon to follow, a storm continues through her journey.

The faster she runs, the slower her legs travel.
The harder she tries to hide, the easier she is to be found.

Reality becomes known and she sees her strength.
Clouds depart and the sun shines down upon her.
As she feels the rays it all begins to make sense.
She discovers who she is and what made her be.

The farther she travels, the greater the journey.
The more she climbs, the stronger she becomes.
The faster she runs, the sooner she will get there,
The harder she tries to hide, the more she'll want to be found.
