RATHER BE ALONE

She's in an empty flower bed
On a cold hard rock she lays her head
"I'd rather be alone!" she said.

She's through with crying
But still denying
That your heart has flown
Great now she's crying
Guess she was lying
She'd rather be alone!

When the moon is your light
You soon lose sight
Of what is right or wrong
She's not at home and so alone
But still her will is strong

A leaf has fallen on her pride
It lands gently by her side
Now she's sure your love has died
She'd rather be alone!
