PROCLAMATION OF FREEDOM

She proclaims her freedom and affirms her release from the bondage
That held her and mind rapture to the horror of rape.

From the years, she spent on her knees begging, why to a Love, she thought
Left her, to a convenant made in hope of escaping the hopelessness
Felt inside.

She no longer wonders in despair from the bullet that never entered
Her head but fouled her soul and stole her from her and stripped
Her of her identity!

She holds to the affirmation of a new heart and love as she shed
The guilt of the one she walked away from.

As she stands here today she proclaims her happiness and affirms that
She is her, stronger than the one hidden and tucked inside her.
She is free, thank Love she is free and no one will ever take her
From her.
