PENUMBRA

Pain lurks in the dark and shadowed places of the mind.
In the silence of the soul breeds apathy.

Rain falls in the night,
Driving to earth the dust of dreams.

As the river of ignorance is driven to white-capped waves by
The wind of the mind,
So if the ocean of doubt pulled from the shore by the tides
Of the will.

As storms rage in the self,
The darkness gathers,
And the rain of the soul falls.
