PARTNERS IN TIME

Partners in time is what they are,
Walking side by side.
Their love is pure, their bond forever,
As they struggle through the path of life.
When long ago his bride fulfilled,
Now his canine friend remains behind.
His vows are could and buried deep,
But slowly something begins to rise.
His faithful friend has uncovered a seed,
And now it sprouts from within.
The seed will grow and come to bloom
As full as any other.
The gaping hold once left behind
Begins to seal from inside.
For a time to be the hole is gone,
And inner peace begins to shine.
But later the seasons will come to change,
Leaving the petals to drift away.
At last they float and come to rest,
