ONLY MORTAL

Dedicated to this world,
With its misery and gloom,
With all the pain and agony,
And hopelessness and doom.

She wishes to right all wrong,
Lord knows she ain't that strong,
She wishes to ease all the pain,
Of the ones left standing long in the rain.

She wishes to end all hunger and thirst,
To end all drought, make rain clouds burst.
To supply clothes and shelter,
To be everyone's hope and helper.

But she is her only mortal,
Only her, she cannot do,
These things she wishes,
That seem so true.
