ONE HEART

One man, one woman had one heart whose hearts were very strong,
And so was the love that flowed through it all the day long.

Then one day, half of the heart and to go fight,
And even though it felt so wrong they knew that it was right.

Now the heart beats slower and it aches with every beat;
But it is not discouraged for it knows no defeat.

One half knows the other will be coming back real soon
And it will beat together again, under the sun, under the moon.

For one day they'll be united and out rejoicing in the sun,
And they will know forever--two half hearts will beat as one.
