OLD TEDDY

She listened to you
Every night
You put her to sleep
All the time
Brown, fuzzy, soft hair
Kept her warm
Mom would twirl and wind
So she could sleep
Button nose and round tummy
You were given to her
By her foster parents
Wondering who they are
And who are her
Biological parents
Her connection to them
Confuses her
How long it has been
Since she's seen them
How much longer till
They'll meet again
They may never come
They will survive.
