OCEAN
Staring out to the sand he cries
Lonely for the substance of land
Sending his broken soul to the shore
He stands and waves to the beachcombers
He smiles upon the children
Kisses gently the feet of loved ones
Then he screams down upon them
Crushing castles, taking lives
To those who see him briefly his violence is definition
Tempers and crashes at all times
Lust and rage, hatred and angst
Swirling emotions to consume life
They only see a shallow image
But deep is he
His depth is impenetrable
He has lived for ever and knows all
Rivers and lakes are his children
Smiling at her innocence and trust he follows the moon away
