NIGHT LIFE
Sounds of the night drift in on a gentle breeze as
Colors of the setting sun gradually fade out.
The moon climbs the horizon and,
With a sparkling wand in His hand,
Love multiplies the stars in the sky.
In the distance an owl is giving a wake-up call
For all the creatures of the night.
Frogs are croaking all around the pond, while
In every tree a million crickets are
In full concert.
The call of coyotes prowling along the creek
Have the little rabbits hopping cautiously about.
As the lanterns of the lightening bugs
Dance all around
The beautiful, clear tones
Of the whippoorwill's song is echoed
From her mate on the other hill.
Love watches over these creatures of His and
He will surely watch over her
As she sleeps tonight!
