MORNING LIGHT

The mist rises quickly from the ground
Like a ghost wraith making no sound
To hide from the sun's first light.

It leaves behind deep dew shining diamond bright
In the first rays of morning light.

Nature awakens slowly from night rest
Animals, trees, flowers and bees
As light spreads across the land
Touching all with its bright generous hand.

Light soon covers the sky from near to far
Chasing away the dark night
With its radiant golden hand.

Oh, what a beautiful sight
When the sun touches all with its healing light.
Changing the night to day
From dark to bright
Making all seem right in the first rays of morning light.
