MAKING CHRISTMAS

There's Christmas in the home,
There's Christmas in the Mart,
But they'll never know Christmas,
Unless it's in their heart.

Bells ring across the snow,
Familiar carols rend the air,
But their hearts still feel heavy,
Unless it's Christmas there.

Christmas lights are all aglow,
Glittering packages wrapped with fuss,
But it's never really Christmas,
Unless there's light in them.

The Savior gave His life,
After a humble manger start,
Their choice to follow Him,
Makes Christmas in their heart.

Happy new year is ahead,
When resolution on their part,
Makes every day be Christmas,
Because He's in their heart.
