LOVE'S PROMISE

She sat along a rose garden
Waiting for a sign.
'Cause Love's promises
Are so divine.

There was a hush and whisper,
She turned around to see,
But there only was an old one
Standing behind her.

He gave her a smile
Of ancient times.
Said, "How are you doing?"
She answered, "Just fine."

He was of radiant luster,
A heart full of gold.
Gave her a Bible,
To have and hold.

She said, "Take care now,
And peace be with you."
Now she knows,
Love's promises always come true.
