LOOKING AHEAD

As he sits here looking
At nothing
Thinking of times they all face
As souls find their way
Is he any different?

As friends gather to say goodbye
Why must they go?
Thinking of them--are they any different?
As they go on...Time is changing
Are they going to change

Years from now...will they even care?
Thinking of life
Is it what goes on
Thinking of why?

As he sits here waiting for a new leader
Only to find old ones
Time changes now as they look ahead
He's not there--time goes on
Soon no one is there but the new ones there
Is there time for them?
