Dear little child, she hears your cries
And sees the tears fill your eyes
When last she looked, you were asleep
Was it a dream that made you weep?
Little child, please don't fear
You're not alone, she's always here.
She'll hold you close--so you will know
Dear little child, she loves you so.

Holding you now for a little while
Upon your face--she sees a smile
A little tremor that came to pass
She realizes now, it was just gas.
