LIQUID PARADISE
Words cascade like a waterfall
And speak of endless beauty,
The likes of which she'll never know.
Thoughts form and flow off the tongue incoherently
Never quite reaching the coveted point.
Colors blaze more brilliantly than she can remember,
And yet, her mind focuses on one minute point.
Could that really have happened?
Or was it in her head?
She seems to remember being here before, a dream perhaps.
If this be a dream may she never wake,
But remember in this quiet peace forever.
Everything around her being still,
She lies down and ponders the stars.
How did life come to be?
Will she too return to the Earth from whence she came?
She may never know the answers,
But as long as she remains suspended in time,
As long as reality is in question,
Nothing else matters.
