LIKE THE ROSE

Because your love is like the rose
Each petal then unfolds
The outer layer is your beginning
Opening as your family grows, Like the rose.

Some petals fall on sad times
With your teardrops as the dew
Others open with delight
And see the glow shining thru, Like the rose.

And as time goes on and you see a rose
It puts a smile on your face
When you think of your love
That you gave to each other, Like the rose.

But in the center, close to each other,
Is the heart holding tight
Until your end comes and the petals fall,
