LIFE IS PRECIOUS

Sometimes they take small things for granted
Not realizing how much they really mean
Like sights and smells and food that they taste
And quiet time spent fishing in a stream.

But, later on in life
With memories they recall
Some of the things that happened
At the time didn't seem important at all.

Now they may bring a smile
Or a tear, whatever the case may be
Everything in life that happens to them
Later on becomes memories.

They should treasure all the time they have
And make the most of every day
They never know when their time will be up
Life is too precious to throw it away.
