Facing, Hesterfer,
Who didn't flinch, didn't smile.
Deceiving delivery.
With just the right bend/dip in the ball,
There striking out 3 brother--in 9 balls.

An Eastern League, leading hurler, for
The New York Giants, pitched in, 1901.
Champion Toronto Leafs in 1907,
The Pennant won.
A golden medal displayed in his honor,

Resides in Cooperstown,
Baseball Hall of Fame.
As a child, those hearing, of his name,
Old-timers most logically;
Repeated stories of his Grandpa's fame.
