HER OLD HOUSE
As she looks out her kitchen window
For the last time she sees all the
Beautiful memories she has to leave
Behind. So many things come to mind.
Her woodpecker, her flying squirrels,
Her ground hogs and every now and
Then her coyote comes down from
The mountains.
The cracks in the floor, the hole in
The ceiling, it was her home for
Some time. Her Old House kept her
Warm and protected.
Her Old House saw many tears yet
Many joys. Her Old House no longer
Her Old House but it knows who
Nurtured it. She Did This Old
Woman. She said "I Did This
Old Woman."
