HER FATHER'S FLIGHT

Daughters think of fathers
As big, strong, handsome men
To soothe their tears and ease their fears
Gifts from Love, are dads.

Together to enjoy your time
No worries, no cares until
One day, They may tell you
Fate is no longer your own say.

She watches him fade before her eyes
This tall, strong, vital man
But she never asked Love for proof
He knows that life is not fair.

He asks her if she sees her
That little girl over there
She looks to see, not one soul
No one, just wall.

That day, she saw a flash of light
She saw golden wings
She smiled, and turned toward heaven
And that little girl, she took him away from her.
