HER FATHER
Her father stands great, and tall--
And lives in her heart every full,
He sees that little sparkle in her eyes--
Who she cries, with fear.
Her father is her all and all--
And when she prays he gives her a cold,
He finds in her heart, trouble;
That never leaves until tomorrow.
Her father will fight her battle--
When she falls off that saddle,
His words will comfort her soul;
Until the next day, he's still her father.
