HER DOLLIE

Her Dollie takes many a beating
Such trauma she has known
There's always bloody episodes
When she plays house alone

While busy in her little kitchen
She's preparing Dolly's favorite dish
She's scolding Dollie very badly
She's pretending to act so womanish

Dollie broke her little plate
And the tears stream from her eyes
She knocks her Dollie on the floor
And then she wonders why?

Her little body bears many a scars
Burns of every kind and sort
She says her daddy put them there
Her mom has played a counter-part

They love their child they attest in court
And that's all they have to say today
She favors the parents, the judge just ruled
So the welfare must turn, and walk away.
